Right at Home Isle of Wight is proud to cover Wroxall, Ventnor and surrounding areas. We pride ourselves in the provision of quality outstanding care services to help you or a loved one maintain a comfortable lifestyle.

In 1813 described as ‘the most picturesque spot’ on the coast of the Isle of Wight and since Ventnor became a fashionable place to reside, especially since 1830 when its climate was considered beneficial for your health! As one of the sunniest places in the UK due to its very own microclimate, Ventnor is the home of Britain’s hottest gardens, Ventnor Botanic Gardens. It has a collection of over 30,000 plants of which due to it’s warmer weather, allows species from all around the world to grow that would not survive elsewhere in the UK.

Did you know?

Right at Home Isle of Wight held their first Older Persons Good Living Show at Ventnor Botanic Gardens. Over 300 island residents came to meet services, groups and charities that can help them live independently for as long as possible on their own homes. Due to it’s success, it’s now an annual event.

Ventnor

The Victorian infrastructure of Ventnor is tucked away under St Boniface Down with plenty of charm. It offers you miles of coastal walks as well as countryside, why not take a walk to the little hidden paradise of SteepHill Cove? You’ll pass the Dinosaur Labyrinth and the Lighthouse on the way.

Want a bite to eat?  As seen on TV, The Smoking Lobster is the place to go for exceptionally fresh fish, “reimagined through a Pan- Asian lens”. TV Chef Ainsley Harriott MBE visited with MasterChef Critic Grace Dent who claimed it was the best lobster she has ever had.

Wroxall

Nestled away next to Ventnor, dating back to 1038 when Wroxall was known as Wrocceseale with “Wroc” meaning Buzzard, Wroxall may once have been “the buzzard’s nook”. Although a small village, it holds the striking Appuldurcombe House built in 1710. A shell of its past, the old English Baroque manor house built for the Worsley family still retains much of its fine architectural details. Not only does it retain its beauty, some say the history remains in its wall, there have been many claims of supernatural sightings.

Why not visit to find out if it really is the most haunted place on the island.

We provide services like:

  • Companionship Support – We support our clients with company and visits; we often take our clients out for walks, trips to cafe's etc and we have been known to do our fair share in Tai Chi and yoga! Loneliness is such a huge issue in the elderly community. Ensuring that our clients receive some form of companionship is so good for their mental health.
  • Live-In Care - This is a service that has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Clients who do not want to move into care homes and need high levels of support can benefit from this. Our amazing caregivers can support with all aspects of their day/night routine.

If you're looking for care for yourself or a loved one from an award winning homecare provider, get in touch with our friendly team:

"The staff are caring, helpful, flexible and very nice to chat too. Nothing is too much trouble for them from cleaning the house, cooking, shopping and taking my wife out.

The management are polite and helpful and will adjust to any changes in care that are required. This company is exceedingly well run and tries as much as possible to match the client and carers, which in my wife's case has been very successful."
