3 months in to 2024

Published: 29/03/2024

Things have been rather busy here at Right at Home Isle of Wight HQ, and we are only 3 months into the year.

Let's round up the last few months and give you all the updates:

A message from Katie

As most of you all know, Registered Manager Katie went on maternity leave at the beginning of March. On March 15th she celebrated the birth of her beautiful boy. Archie was born  at 4:14am weighing 5lb 11oz.

Katie has sent a message in:

“Almost 2 weeks old! It’s been an absolutely amazing experience to welcome our boy in to the world, and a pleasure to call ourselves his parents. A massive thank you to each and every one of you who have sent kind words, congratulations and even gifts - it means the world to know how loved our little man is already. We miss you all and will be visiting soon xxx”

A message from Vicky

We have had an exciting start to 2024 with Katie, our Registered Manager, going off on maternity leave and giving birth to her beautiful baby boy in the early hours of 15th March.

This year is looking to be a busy one with new staff and clients coming on board and opening a new office in Shanklin in the next couple of months.

We are investing in additional training for our team to ensure we remain at the top of our game. This has included revamping our training room in Bembridge to include a hospital bed and hoist, and involving other professionals to deliver specialist training in Parkinson’s, Catheter Care and Epilepsy.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our amazing team for their ongoing support and for delivering the highest standard of person-centred care. We are very proud of you all and can’t wait to see what 2024 brings

There must be something in the air at Right at Home Isle of Wight, our Senior Erin will be due to leave for her Maternity Leave soon.

With Katie and Erin off, there have been a few changes in the office which has been cause for celebration:

Jennifer

We would like to congratulate Jennifer on her recent promotion to Office Manager!

Charlotte

Our CareGiver Char has now been given the additional role as Admin Support and will closely work with Vicky.

"I love it! I feel really settled in and I'm really enjoy it. I used to do office work, so now I'm coming back to what I know. My brain hurts a bit though."

Jenny

As well as CareGiver and Trainer, our Jenny is also Support for Seniors Jennifer and Erin.

"It's fantastic, I'm absolutely loving it. Going in to the office is considered stressful but I don't find it stressful at all!"

A second office AND a training room

As Right at Home Isle of Wight grows from strength to strength, we find our area coverage is growing with that too. Owners Vicky and Paul are passionate that their fabulous CareGivers can still access an office without having to travel too far out of their way. Whether it’s a place to stop for lunch, having some valuable face-time with the team, to pass a message on or collect PPE, whatever it is they need, it should be easily accessible for them.

And so, Right at Home Isle of Wight it opening a second office!

With the Bembridge office being the center of care operations, this will be headed by Vicky. The office now has a specific training room with new equipment to support Jenny in her training

In Shanklin, the office being headed by Paul, the new space will serve as the centre for marketing, recruitment and Client services. We will be able to grow our client and employee portfolio in the new area of operation whilst our shop front provides a better interaction space for engaging with prospective clients who want to know more about Right at Home Isle of Wight.
